Description
Bleyer Hepcat hails back to the hey-day of the rock ‘n’ roll era. It offers clean lines and minimalistic detail together with a robust sole. This high-quality lace-up shoe gives excellent sure-footedness for dancers of all abilities.
Our standard pair come in genuine soft matt black leather teamed with white Durasoft, a soft, durable and popular alternative to leather.
You can choose to pay a modest extra fee to design your own special pair of Hepcats! Pick from a wide variety of colour combinations to make them truly your own!
Custom Orders are a one-off production, so they do take a little longer to produce. But, unique to you, they will make all the difference to your look on the dance floor!
Bleyer Hepcat is available as standard in Bleyer size 39 to 46 (covering UK 5 to 10). Please note that this style is a relatively tight fit all over, even when compared to other styles of Bleyer men’s shoes. If you are deciding between sizes, we strongly recommend that you select the larger of the two.

Cell Rubber Sole
The Hep Cat (BS7500), Balboa (BS7500) and Saddle (BS7139) are produced with the Cell Rubber Sole are available from size 38 and up. As an alternative for sizes where the Cell Rubber sole is not available, the EVA sole with a heel is normally used. If your sole choice is critical then please check with us before placing your order.
The Cell Rubber Sole
The material used is a high-tech innovation that gives you the ideal combination of a light yet hardwearing soles for dancing. The look and feel of this sole type is not what you would expect from rubber, to look and touch it seems like hard plastic. Dancing on this sole offers slightly more grip and a more sure-footed feel than the other Bleyer composite soles (except the non-slip sole) or leather soles. This sole will tolerate being worn outdoors and can be wiped down ready for dancing. These soles are Vegan friendly.
EVA Sole with Heel (when Cell Rubber option is unavailable)
The EVA Sole with heel is a popular sole for swing dancers. Of all the Bleyer synthetic soles, the white sole offers the most freedom of movement for sliding, swivelling and gliding easily across the floor, offering dancers a similar feel to suede. The addition of the heel makes the shoe feel more like a street shoe rather than the flat sole options. These soles are also Vegan friendly.
Returns Policy
Standard Items:
Exchanges will be accepted on the condition that items have only been worn to test for good fit and they are in a perfect condition. Shoes should only be tried on a clean carpeted surface for long enough to determine whether they are a good fit. All returns must be in an identical condition to which they were supplied by us and a completed returns document enclosed.
All returns must be sent back to us within 28 days of the goods being delivered. Payment for return postage is your responsibility. You are responsible for the item until it is received at our return address, to protect yourself against goods being mislaid during the return delivery we recommend that you used a tracked and signed service with sufficient insurance. When you request to exchange a product, once we have received your item we send out the replacement items at our own expense, to the original delivery destination.
Nov-Jan Holiday Period Returns For Standard Items:
We understand that many items purchased during November and December are seasonal presents and the recipient won’t know whether the items fit until the festive day. Purchase your gifts with confidence! Standard products purchased between 1st November and 31st December can be returned subject to normal terms and conditions at any time up to 31st Jan the following year.Â
Exclusions for Custom Orders:
All items ordered with customizations are produced on the strength of your order, using the exact specification supplied. Therefore, custom Order items cannot be cancelled, amended or returned, so it is essential that you are satisfied that all details such as size, colour, finish and sole selection are correct when placing your order. Custom Orders are normally subject to an additional charge and a delay of 4-8 weeks for production.
